Its been a long time since I’ve made these but thought I’d bring them back as I know some guys loved these. The LDX is basically a Loaded Jigsmith with no belly hook. They are designed for extreme casting distance. I fish them the same way I’d fish a Loaded Jigsmith – work on top but periodically stop reeling but keep the rod tip action going – allowing it to sink. Fish will often hit it as it falls below the surface. I particularly like these in rough water, wind in your face – or in rips. Also one of my favorite bluefish plugs – no belly hook gives you a nice handle to grab while unhooking.
